Contest details. A total of two individuals, from either Carnegie Mellon University or University of Pittsburgh, will be selected to each win one of two prizes from the "Student Housing Study 2011 Prize Pack" which includes one Microsoft® XBox360™ + Kinect™ bundle and one iPhone/iPod™-compatible iCraig 2.1 Channel Tower Speaker.


Multiple entries increase your chances of winning. Sweepstakes ends on October 5th, 2011 at 11:59:59 a.m. ET. Sweepstakes is exclusive to CMU and UPitt students/staff/faculty that are 18 years of age or older.


Entry directions. Purchase one or multiple raffle tickets ($3 each) using the PayPal button below or at a designated SHS2011 booth desk ("The Fence" near CMU's Doherty Hall or at UPitt's William Pitt Union), and stay tuned for contest updates and drawing announcements by email or Facebook!

The prize will be either (1) a new in-box Xbox360 / Kinect Bundle or (2) an iPhone/iPodTouch dock/speaker-tower system. Two ticketholders will win one of these prizes, determined by a fair and random drawing. Each ticket purchase grants the purchaser 1 chance to win the prize. There is no limit to how many tickets one may purchase, each additional ticket purchase increases your chance to win.

When purchasing a ticket, you must provide your name and valid e-mail address or telephone number. This information will be used to notify you if you are the winner.

Tickets are non-transferable, all prizes must be claimed by the original ticket purchaser.

In order to claim your prize, you must present your original ticket with unique ticket number, no photocopies or other reproductions will be accepted. We are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Tickets with damaged or altered ticket numbers or security codes will be considered invalid.

Ticket sales will stop on 10/5/11 at 11:59am ET. After this, a list of all tickets sold will be compiled, and the drawing will occur on 10/5/11 at 12:20pm ET.

The winner will be notified using the contact information provided at the time their ticket was purchased. After this notification is sent, the winner will have 48 hours to contact us to redeem their prize. Failure to respond within 48 hours constitutes forfeiture of the prize. In the event of a forfeiture, a new winner will be chosen using the same fair and random process with the original winner removed from the list of potential winners. Rules may be subject to change.
